Illustration inspired in wooden trompos (spinning tops), a traditional game from Quito. Other traditional games include hopscotch, jump rope games with traditional songs, wooden kart competitions, and a local card game called “cuarenta”. During the Quito festivities, which take place during the first week of December, cuarenta competitions take place all throughout the city and other traditional games are also encouraged through competitions and events.
