Hotel Relicario del Carmen happens to be a traditional colonial house in the heart of the Quito’s Historic Center, dating back to 1705. When entering the hotel you immediately get the sensation of having gone back in time to the colonial period. The walls of this house guard the memory of a large part of Quito’s history. Beautifully renovated spaces with great emphasis on the original details, while providing all the comfort and a central air conditioning system. All the furniture is handmade by recognized Ecuadorian artisans and many original paintings decorate public and private areas.
The house dates back to 1705, belonging to the family since 1879. It was renovated and equipped as a hotel from 1986 to 2006 by the descendants. They are now responsible for the management of the hotel.
Hotel Relicario del Carmen has 18 rooms (single, double-king bed, double-twin beds, double-deluxe and triple). Each room has ambiance music, cable TV, alarm clock, radio, telephone, safety box, mini bar, hair drier and centralized air conditioning.
